Ending the Silence
NAMI Ending the Silence is an engaging presentation that helps audience members learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if you or a loved one are showing symptoms of a mental illness.
NAMI Ending the Silence presentations include a lead presenter who shares an informative presentation and a young adult with a mental health condition who shares their journey of recovery. Audience members can ask questions and gain understanding of the often-misunderstood topic of mental illness.
Additional information on the presentations and content is available through the National NAMI Ending the Silence Program page.
NAMI Missouri is now recruiting youth presenters age 18-30, who are living well with a mental illness or mental health disorder and lead presenters 18+ who are either living with a mental illness or who have a friend or family member living with a mental illness. The training is conducted in two parts. The first part is a web-only training. If you are interested in learning more or in participating in a training to become certified to present Ending the Silence, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Ending the Silence” in the subject line or register for the training using the link below.
