NAMI Family & Friends is a free 90-minute or 4-hour seminar that informs people who have loved ones with a mental health condition how to best support them. It’s also an opportunity to meet other people in similar situations and gain community support. About the Training: This training is for individuals living with mental illness who want to teach the NAMI Peer to Peer course to other individuals living with mental illness. The training is provided at no cost with expenses paid primarily through funding from SAMHSA.
About the NAMI Peer to Peer course: NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery.
This NAMI Basics Teacher training will be held online using Zoom Video Conferencing.

About the Training: This training is for parents and caregivers of youth who have experienced mental illness. Most of our teachers first take the NAMI Basics course and then take the teacher training to become certified to teach it. The training is provided at no cost with expenses paid primarily through a contract with the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
About the NAMI Basics course: NAMI Basics is a free educational program for parents and caregivers of youth with mental illness. It is usually taught in six weekly sessions lasting 2.5 hours each.
